NCC Training Academy are pleased to announce our new classroom learning courses for electrical maintenance of Caravans & Motorcaravans. These courses are aimed at technicians who service & maintain Caravans & Motorcaravans in a fixed workshop, or as a mobile technician.
These new courses aim to teach you how to work with electrics safely.
These courses are suitable for persons aiming to become a member of the Approved Workshop Scheme.
What do these courses cover?
These courses are an alternative route of learning to our traditional classroom-based courses known as:
Electrical Test & Inspection
Electrical Systems & Circuits
Level 1: Leisure Vehicle Electrical Service Operative - one day course
Health & Safety
Road lights
Auxiliary battery
Extra low voltage
Low voltage
Level 2: Leisure Vehicle Electrical Service Technician - two day course
British Standards
Protective devices
Wire
Circuit types
Solar Panels
Relays
Insulation
Ohms law
Fault diagnosing
These classroom based courses use newly designed test rigs to give you hands on experience. Level 1 and 2 both include an online theory assessment which must be taken and passed after you have attended the course, it can be done at work or at home.
We must still assess your practical skills to validate everything you have learnt. We will do that through the Caravan/Motorcaravan Service Award. Think of the Service Award as the final award bringing all your skills together. You must complete Level 1 & Level 2, then your STGW Gas training and finally your Service Award. Upon successful completion of all elements you will be certified.
Note: Completion of Level 1 & 2 is the equivalent of completing Electrical Test & Inspection and Electrical Systems & Circuits. To cover electrical compliance for your AWS application, you must complete Level 1 & 2.
